Sally Kohn
Sally Rebecca Kohn (born March 27, 1977) is an American lawyer, liberal political commentator, community organizer, and founder and chief executive officer of the Movement Vision Lab, a grassroots think tank. Kohn was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Donald Kohn, an engineer, and Melinda Kohn, a computer programmer.〔(Sally Kohn talks leaving Fox News | TED Blog )〕 Kohn's mother introduced her to volunteering and community organizing at age 12, when they began volunteering together at a local domestic violence shelter. Kohn was raised Jewish.
Kohn was raised in Allentown and left to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She graduated from New York University School of Law with a juris doctor in 2002, and also has a master's degree in public administration from Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
